Hello all,
To refresh your
memories we had our AGM this past
March13 at the Willowby Hall and as we do every year we needed to elect our new
executive to manage our club and guide us through another hockey season. Please
congratulate, welcome and support our new executive as they have the challenge
of putting together another program for the upcoming year. I like to thank those who were interested
enough in the well being of their club to attend and take part in the election
process and provide their perspective and support. I would also like to take a
moment and thank the members of our outgoing executive who have left us with
this successful template to follow. Tim
Grover, Doug Hertz, Dave Zubot, Bruce McDonald, Joe Rotella, Darcy
Semeniuk all who have been with our organization for 8 or more years and
have committed their time on so many different levels. Thank you!
To the parents and
players moving on to the Bantam ranks we would also like to say a big thank
you, goodbye and good luck! You are always welcome to any of our social
functions as alumni members for life. Please contact us for any questions
regarding the KC Sabres Bantam program.

Manager’s Message
What a successful year we have had, both on and off the ice.
On the ice as a Club we gathered a collection of Gold’s and Silvers during
Minor Hockey Week with 6 out of the 9 teams making it to the finals. As well an
equally successful showing in the Playoffs with all three Novice teams winning
Gold as well as our tier 4 Peewee team. From all reports our Initiation program
was a success with another crop of future hockey stars ready to expand their
skills next season. Bravo to all our
coaches and team managers for their efforts in providing a positive hockey
experience for our players this season.
Off the ice it was great to see the tremendous
support and well attended Silent Auction Evening, same can be said for the
Parent Appreciation Party and Family Year End Party at Galaxyland, all were
great fun.
In
closing I would like to put out the message that this is our hockey club and
the success of the Club is directly related to the membership. To ensure our
club stays strong and continues to put together competitive teams it is
important we maintain adequate registration numbers throughout the age
categories. With the upcoming season in the distance and registration dates
approaching I encourage our members to spread the word about our program. It is
through our Club’s families, friends and neighbors that we look to continually
grow our membership. Please forward our registration dates to anyone you may
feel would be interested in playing hockey with our program.
