As Asst. Parish Manager of Business Operations, and a hockey mom, I have had quite a few hockey moms approach me about getting some of us Good Shepherd ladies on the ice.

I think this is a fantastic idea and have inquired into programs. Canlan Ice Sports is offering a Ladies Beginner Hockey Skills program on Tuesday nights starting in Sept. I would like to invite all the moms at Good Shepherd who are tired of just watching, to join me in learning the game of hockey. I confirmed with Canlan, when I signed up, that no skating skills are required. There will be moms of all abilities out there. For those who worry about their lack of skating skills, please be assured that mine are extremely basic. I like to think of myself as overage Timbits player!

This is a fantastic opportunity for us moms to get some exercise and have some fun!
