Good Shepherd Hockey Philosophy
At Good Shepherd Hockey it is our goal to provide a positive hockey experience to each of our players. We focus on skill development with an emphasis on fun, friendship and teamwork. Success is measured by our player’s level of fun, enthusiasm and a desire to return for another season.
New To Good Shepherd Hockey In 2009-2010 - Timbits Hockey
The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys. Timbits players are also given the opportunity to play in their own "Timbits Jamboree", a fun-filled Tim Hortons sponsored event where everyone receives a prize, food and a beverage.
What Your Sponsorship Dollars Mean To Good Shepherd Hockey
As we are all aware, hockey is a very expensive sport. Every year at GSHC, executives, coaches, managers and parent volunteers try to help ease the financial burden to individual players.
GSHC through the aid of fundraising, bingos and casinos, has been able to hold our registration costs for the past several years. In addition to ice provided by the EMHA, GSHC purchases ice every year for all of our divisions in an effort to further enhance our player’s skill and development. With your help, it is our hope that we can continue on with this tradition.
Other Benefits To The Teams And Club
Practice Jerseys - It is our hope that each year through sponsorship, we will be able to provide practice jerseys to all of our teams.
Track Suits - Whether it is a practice, game or tournament, our kids love the ability to all dress as a team when representing GSHC. Unfortunately in today’s economy this is considered a luxury and is just not an option for many of our club members.
Banners - each team is given a banner at the beginning of the year to display at all games and team functions. It is our hopes that these banners will serve two purposes. The first to help market the club and ensure the growth and continuation of such a great organization. Secondly, to proudly display all those companies that are supporting our children in their hockey development.
